The Ballina Bears are thrilled to announce that Ballina RSL has returned as our Major Sponsor for the 2026/27 season, continuing a partnership that helped the club enjoy another successful summer last year.

Saturday night belonged to the Bears as Bears Blue, led by Jordy Holmes, took on Bears Black, led by Jimmy Hort, in our pink ball intra-club match under lights at Fripp Oval.

With twelve players a side, the canteen open and a BBQ after stumps, it was the perfect way to blow out the cobwebs before the season proper. Thanks to everyone who came down to play, umpire, cook and cheer.

Our Come and Try Days at Fripp Oval were a huge success, with new juniors and their families getting a taste of Bears cricket, followed by a BBQ after every session.

It is not too late to join. Junior registration is just $106 and includes a playing shirt, cap, wide brim hat, pants and training shirt. Training runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm at Fripp Oval.

After back to back premierships, the Ballina Bears head into 2026/27 with one goal: make it three in a row and earn our way back into first grade.

Pre-season training is well underway at Fripp Oval on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a free BBQ after Thursday sessions. New players of every standard are welcome, so come down and say hello.
