The wait is over! Round 1 of the 2026/27 season gets underway this Saturday 10th October, with two Bears sides taking the field at 1pm in one day games.
Our 2nd Grade side opens their campaign at home against Goonellabah Workers Sports at Fripp Oval, Ballina. The group is chasing a third straight premiership this season, and there is no better place to start than in front of a home crowd.
Our 3rd Grade side hits the road to take on the Lennox Head Pirates at Epiq 1, Lennox Head.
4th Grade have the bye this weekend and will be back in action next round.
Good luck to our debutants
A special mention goes to our three debutants this weekend. James Brownlee pulls on the Bears shirt for the first time in 2nd Grade, while Dexter Owens and Ian West both make their debuts in 3rd Grade. Good luck lads, enjoy every moment!
Thanks as always to coach Phil Melville for his work getting both sides ready for the season.
Full team lists are below. Come down to Fripp Oval, grab a spot on the hill and get behind the Bears. Go Bears! 💙
